Lime Health Launches Emilia, a Mobile App Designed to Transform the Patient Experience
The Quebec-based application creates automated summaries of medical consultations to improve patient information retention.
Montreal, August 18, 2025 — Lime Health today announced the official launch of Emilia, the first intelligent medical scribe designed specifically for patients. This new technology, developed in Quebec, securely records medical consultations and automatically generates easy-to-understand reports using artificial intelligence.
Emilia addresses a well-documented issue: patients often retain less than half of the information shared with them during consultations with healthcare professionals, while frequently finding themselves in an emotional state that complicates their ability to understand. In light of this reality, Emilia aims to reduce information loss, improve understanding of clinical recommendations, and strengthen continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
Emilia also aims to democratize access to medical information by adapting to different levels of literacy and language barriers. Patients can consult summaries at any time or share them with their loved ones, thereby improving continuity of care and treatment adherence while reducing anxiety related to forgetfulness.
The app will be available in September 2025 on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Demonstrations will be offered in several healthcare facilities across Quebec starting in the fall.
